    Seed viability

Central Kentucky. Planted 4 food plots with radishes and turnips on August 30. Previous rain was August 12. Ground was hard and crusty. Tilled, cultipacked, broadcasted seed, cultipacked again. Did not get rain until about September 28. So about six weeks with no rain and about 4 weeks...

Fall plots and lack of rain

Same here in Central Kentucky. Planted turnips, radish, and some clover this past Thursday. No rain in 10 day forecast. What ever happens we will throw some wheat and rye in late September early October. Also run a couple of feeders from now thru January. Something will work.

    Anyone use Cuddelink?

This one gets morning and mid-day full sun. Late afternoon it gets ambient light. It takes an average of about 150 pics per week. It is set on surveillance mode due to being aimed to cover our front gate. My home camera is on a mineral lick and gets less sun and takes about 250 pics a week...

    Anyone use Cuddelink?

We started out trying Cabellas solar system. Their solar panel was too small to keep the camera running. A Cuddeback field Rep referred us to these two places to buy the Cuddeback solar system. (1) kyle@whaletalesarchery.com 262-965-2825 talk to Kyle or Tyler (2) farmsteadarchery.com...

    Anyone use Cuddelink?

I have been running four G -Cameras and one J model camera system for a little over a year now. Workes perfectly on our 40 acre place. Heavy tree canopy and rolling to steep terrain. Battery life sucked until we were able to get their solar set up. The J model camera has been running solar...

Is the juice worth the squeeze

We did exactly that a couple of years ago. Clover does fine almost year round here in Central KY. This past fall our PTT crop was a failure. Not sure if they browsed it before it could mature, bad seed or something else. I mean not one tuber developed. So we broadcasted Rye grain which saved...
