Chicory is an easy and very forgiving food plot. Often mixed with clover or small stand alone patch.

Corn only works if you plant at least two acres. Alfalfa is troublesome for food plots. Clover any size is relatively easy. Fall brassica plots any size are really easy. Throw in oats to improve the mix.

Letting strips grow up in weeds for a few years is great deer food and cover. In Chester county the deer need more cover than food. Just don't let it grow thicker than you can reclaim with a brush hog. I own hunting land in Coatesville.

That small amount of land is not going to be much $ for leasing, At best a Farmer might agree to let some crop stand for rent. Depends a lot on how far the farmer has to travel from his farm

When a food plot goes into weeds it's cheaper to burn it with glyphosate and replant than mess with a lot of expensive herbicides. Deer also eat some weeds. I realize these are out of your area but it might be worth your trip out here. what are you planting?

King's agriseed in Ronks for larger quantities like my RR soybeans. Daniels Farm store in Leola is way cheaper on herbicide, you should be able to buy roundup and clethodim without a license there, those are about all I use.

Martin Limestone in New Holland. They are way cheaper than bags, as lime value is in weight and they will deliver in a twelve ton truck and spread it. Feed mills have good deals on seed, I get a lot of mine at Good's Feed Mill in fivepointville, they also have lime and fertilizer in stock. Martin's Ag in New Holland does seed fertilizer herbicide bag lime and free soil tests if you get your fertilizer there.
