E_308 makes a great point. Each person's property may be used for different reasons. If chasing old bucks isn't the most important aspect then I feel a person should use their property in any way they see fit. I know I have become too stubborn with my property and it is no fun for my kids to never get to be in the deer woods except for when hunting. I am glad I taught most of what they need to know when I was younger and didn't take the deer hunting so serious. Everyone should enjoy their land as they see fit. If they would rather drive side by side around in their woods and have a picnic with family under a deer stand then have at it, or if you are anal like I am about deer then never enter the core of your farm and keep the pressure off those big boys so they stay home.
