That looks great Triple C! Having Brooks around is like having your very own contractor...
I have been on our deer lease since 1998 and we have a great camp atmosphere down there and have had some great times. The only kink is that the owner is aging and the entire 15,000 acre property is going to the boy scouts and he has already transferred a large portion of it which our area is included in. The deal he made with them is all the leases stay the same as long as he is alive and after that they have control to either keep or get rid of the leases. I think they will keep them but I think they will price us out like they have is some other areas. The boy scouts have been in the equation for about 10 years now and have a big lodge near my hunting area. We had lots of plands to build walk in coolers, skinning sheds, a firewood shed like yours and several other things but have been in limbo for years because of what is going to happen with the property.
A lot of this was brought home to us when we went to the annual "Night before Rifle Season Dinner" that the owner puts on for all his hunters and lease members every year. Our host is 79 yrs old and starting to really show his age. They announced this would be the last year he would have his guest out to hunt his personal 5000 acre hunting area which consisted of business associates. Reasons stated were that since he always put them up in lodging and fed them 3 times a day on the ranch it was just getting to be too difficult with his age. We may not have a dinner next year...
Even though our house does not burn wood yet we do have a fire pit in the backyard and I may build one just for that. Thank you for showing this!
