Is this a BurEnglish? I did not get a chance to take a picture of the tree or the leaves. I can tell you the leaves look like a bur with a slight variance to them. The acorn has a cap like a bur, but is slightly less hairy. The shape of the acorn is unlike any Bur I have ever seen. The acorn on the right hand side is a Bur acorn that is a little larger than a golf ball for a reference point. Whatever it is it looks like this tree will hang on to its acorns for another week or two pretty easy which makes it a good tree to me!
