Weeds

Can someone tell me which weeds I should be most worried about? I've read on here that some weeds deer eat and can be fine to have...some should be avoided at all costs...others not helpful nor harmful. Thank you.

Sericea Lespedeza and Johnson Grass are the two that I hate the most. Not a big fan of thistles and amaranth (which is also called pigweed) either.

I see that I have just about a full compendium of the weeds listed above growing in my fields...The one that I have not solved is yellow nutsedge...what herbicide will kill it??

Weesds that suck:
Canada thistle
Johnsongrass
Stilt grass
Nut sedge
Hose nettle
Smartweed
Lambs quarter
Curly dock
Pig weed

Permit is $378.00 for 20 oz at Keystone where as Sedgehammer Plus Turf Herbicide 13.5 Grams is $37.50...since I have only 2 acres involved looks like it is much cheaper.
Also Permit is not a registered herbicide in SC what ever that MEANS?

With SedgeHammer you will be paying about $80 per acre to kill nutsedge, with Permit you will pay less than $20 per acre.

It all depends on the size of your plots and how much sedge you're dealing with. I have three small plots of about 1/3 acre each. The 13.5 gram package of Sedgehammer contains six packets, each of which is mixed with one gallon of water. I've used it to spot spray sedge on my plots with a small hand sprayer. Turns out very economical for my situation. That wouldn't work on a large field with lots of sedge.

Semisane, obvious we are in the same neighborhood. Ditto on the above weeds. add sickle pod , some kind of super aggressive melon and sesbania and you've described my farm.

The sedgehammer label states that it will kill clover. Has anyone sprayed into clover? Thats a problem for me. Nutsedge is all over in places where i have good clover.
