Triticale

I just over seeded an oat plot that was 2 weeks old with triticale which is a hybrid of wheat & rye. Has anybody had any luck as a deer plot

I’ve planted it before but honestly, I can’t see anything beating winter wheat. I’ve tried oats, triticale, and even the “gourmet” oats. Nothing beats wheat IMO, at least in my area.

^^^^ This. There is nothing wrong with it, but I see no value above regular wheat where I live.

It would be my grain of choice but because it’s harder to get, I use WR. My perception is that it was favored by deer over WR. However, WR is a great draw by itself.
