Well with the time that I had this is what I got done so far. Two more weekends and it should be looking good. Soil samples and springtime is what I’ll be waiting for this plot being on southern side of mountain, I got a good feeling on this set up. This one has good access for morning and evening hunting. Pretty excited to get this one done

well tonight’s adventure started out with switching side by sides from house and cabin. Going to put camera at bobcat den. Got buggy stuck on steep hill. Got tire flat and off the bead, had to use excavator to lift up machine. Then had to use dozer to ride back to cabin to get a strap. To inflate tire. What a night to get into this.

Those things look huge. That one in the back looks like a cougar.

Agree with ya on that! Maybe I got up and comers B&C. They need to go to heaven along with all the black bears.

More fat cats living off of me. Go figure. Lol

A can of ether could’ve made that tire mounting job less painful!

got about an hour and half in tonight. Was giggling like a school girl in prom night I was having so much fun. Amazed myself at how much I got cleared. Pictures do it no justice. Should have used the drone but I was pushing for time.

got equipment serviced. Hopefully get this plot done today. Making visual barriers along road. Hopefully rain holds out.

I’m planting a mix of grains and grasses to help get the soil conditioned. Looks like decent soil with hardly any rocks in it. Hopefully no rocks will be ok. All of my success in past has only been with rocky plots. Lol. Guess we’ll see how it goes.

Very nice should make for great deer attraction. What, no snow in Siberia? One of my best friends headed back to north PA today from his snowbird months in FL. I'm sure he is still frozen up there.

70 degrees yesterday. Today ground covered with snow. Typical SOMERSET county spring. Our town is having there annual Maple Festival this weekend and next. Weather never gets nice till that’s over.

You are training her right ! :)

An excavator with a thumb is THE machine for handling timber, whether stacking or burning. I always hated clearing, but loved burning. Makes no sense, but it is what it is......

The excavator with the thumb is the only way to go when digging out the stumps and moving debris. At this rate I’ll be able to be planting next week. I made this burn out for the cabin last year and she just put some Christmas lights behind it. For some reason I just noticed it tonight.

Too wet to work in plots so I brought the drill to the shop for some upgrades. Added a foamer. Weight brackets and while it was here I made some seed dividers in large box. Don’t know if I’ll ever use them but while it was here I made some.
