Live from the duck blind..

First duck hunt of the year for me. Shooting light in just a couple minutes. Will get some pics once it is light enough. Got about 20 duck decoys and just half dozen goose floaters out. Hoping cold front has moved a few this way.

First duck down. Should have had a double but poor shooting on my part

12 years old and still got the drive. She was pacing all night after seeing me get all my gear ready.

Nice hunt. What's the duck with the black bill and orange feet?

Should have gotten that! Probably the pic but it's colors look quite a bit different than the one's I've shot.
Once again, great morning!

Guess what? Wednesday-my day off. Live from the duck blind hunt #2. Pond has had 3 days rest. Really is better with a week rest but my duck pond at the 160 is so low I'd have to hunt from my layout blind and that is something I don't really enjoy with a shoulder still bothering me.

Hopefully duck pics soon

That is a nice one, even some of the iridescence on the head it looks like. Get a few photos of those a year and everyone wonders "what do you think this gadwall is crossed with?" Have to try to explain that that's actually what a good mature drake gadwall looks like.
