My place you could easily sit for the entire 2 week season and not see a bird....or you could get that one freak moment and a dozen or more come working thru....

If your son wants to kill that bird, hunt the ridge he roosts on. He will just need to figure out where the hens roost, where the tom flies down to and get in the middle. If done right, no decoys, no calling.

Side note that has worked for me is trapping predators. You will be surprised how many more turkeys you will see when you work on your raccoon population.

Agreed with the trapping, a bobcats favorite food is turkey! Trapping ever year cuts down on all of your varmints
