You can see the grey one is VERY pregnant. And wolves on that cam 3 times. Must have set it up pretty damn close to a den. Should be getting pup pics soon.HUNT0213 (3)-800x449.JPG HUNT0192 (5)-800x449.JPG HUNT0285 (3)-800x449.JPG HUNT0284-800x449.JPG

Nope. Theyre federally delisted here, but the state still protects them, and always will. The puget sound is full of liberals, they elect liberal governors, governor takes money from hsus / dow etc, and has oversight of wdfw. Our "wolf advisory group" is full of animal rights groups. Its a joke. We will never see a wolf season in washington, no matter how many wolves we have, and how bad they impact our game herds or how much livestock they kill.

I saw Jim Shockey at the great American outdoor show and he was really fired up about the need to get rid of wolves because according to him they wipe out all the game in their area. Here in the east we're not very knowledgeable about the subject.

Awful late for a wolf to have pups. Probably just gorged itself on a fresh kill.
I had the same thought. Ive read that wolves have been known to breed as late as april, and have a 2 month gestation. So ya, june 26 is late, but not impossible. And that belly looks ready to burst. Who knows, if i see pups show up on cam, or that grey one with saggy tits, that will be the answer.

Could also be full of worms or be in liver failure, heart failure, etc. will be cool to see if pups show up on camera though!

Elk, moose, coyote, and a funky little whitetail buck same spot. Couple mule deer does showed up too. Im thinking most of the deer on this side (hot dry side) of the mountain are down low in the dark timber creek bottom this time of year. I anticipate a big increase in deer activity here in the fall.HUNT0037 (2)-800x449.JPG HUNT0235-800x449.JPG HUNT0005 (3)-800x449.JPG HUNT0089 (3)-800x449.JPG

One can always hope! Damn things are destructive. Everybody loves wolves and wants to protect them, until they get wolves in their back yard. Which i have literally had.
In Pennsylvania we're allowed to kill dogs if they are chasing deer...
