Already a little dominance testing going on here

How's it going Don? Just saw this post. Looks like you have a few up and comers.

Food plots for the “dog days”

Soybeans work quite well. Chicory also shines when it gets hot and dry.

Best Rifle And Caliber for Lightweight Beginner?

The most important thing is to make sure the rifle fits her. A standard length of pull (the length from butt of stock to trigger) is most likely not going to fit your daughter. A rifle that is too big will cause your daughter bad shooting habits. I would suggest a youth rifle like Browning Micro...

    CROSSBOW?

Do you own a Ravin? Or is this stuff that you read on the internet, probably on Crossbow Talk or Crossbow Nation where a few guys have it in for Ravin and bad mouth them when ever they can. As far as the new nocks not solving the problem, have you heard of any problems after the new nocks came...

    CROSSBOW?

Ravin all day. Ten point is playing catch up after Ravin came out last year. The crank/cocking system on the Ravin is by far superior to what Ten Point has. Ravin has excellent customer service also. You don't have to use rail lube on Ravin. The Ravin is a very very accurate crossbow. Also if...

    trail cam acting weird

J-bird your trailcam has auto flash adjustment on it. It adjusts the amount of flash needed as to not white out the video. My Bushnell does it in video mode. It will be really bright when the video 1st starts and then adjusts the amount of light needed to give you a good video. Once my Bushnell...

New observation, don’t know what to make of it

To expand on this a little farther. The stuff deer eat from January to June is going to determine how good the headgear or fawn health will be. Waupaca county definitely has the genetics to grow big antlers. In the states to the south of Wisconsin green up is earlier and depending how far south...

New observation, don’t know what to make of it

I have land 30 miles away. We had a very mild winter, early green up, and good precipitation. The rest of central Wisconsin had above average antler growth. Actually the whole state had really good antler growth this year. What could be different in Waupaca county? Too high of DPSM? Stress?

New observation, don’t know what to make of it

Bull there is definately something wrong. Your bucks should have put on tremendous growth with back to back mild winters in Wisconsin. I had no problem shooting a 160 plus buck on my place this year. All the bucks were carrying better head gear and more weight. Time to get a better deer plan...

    Amazing

Since Walker has been Governor the Wisconsin DNR has been stripped of most of it's power. The DNR is run by politics not sound scientific reasoning. Bull has stated many times that his neighbors hammer does so he lays off of them. Bull only shoots a couple does a year. By not shooting does his...

You guys do know that Pacahunter is the one and only Dipper from the old QDMA forum?

    Amazing

I would have no problem with it if the study was done on public land but doing it on private land where the owner chooses to not do any thing to remedy the problem is a waste of taxpayers money. The Wisconsin's DNR budget has been cut big time to the point that important programs are being...

    Amazing

Bull as I recall you stated that the state DNR is cost sharing this project with you. This is wrong on so many levels that our State DNR is using money to help you keep inflated/stock piled numbers of deer on your property. I will be emailing the appropriate DNR personal and all the Natural...

    Amazing

Shouldn't be shocking. I have been telling you for years that you have to many deer causing over browsing. You can plant all the food plots you want but until you reduce your deer numbers you will have over browsing of native vegetation.

    Land values are going up

Bull farmland out numbers woodland. Straight from Waupaca county's web site: " Waupaca County encompasses approximately 760 square miles of which about 17 square miles is surface water, 420 square miles is farmland, 202 square miles is forested, 97 square miles is wetland, leaving about 24...
