    App for measuring acreage

I was planning on using a couple different tools and compare. Google earth doesn't show an absolute straight down image of the farm. A couple field edges are not visible and therefore I am unable to get a remotely accurate measurement. Im waiting for the fields to dry enough to try a couple apps.

    App for measuring acreage

Thanks for the replies. Fields Area Measure looks like it may be what Im looking for. An actual on the ground app, not a PC based image. Trying to avoid ranging and calculating. I'm familar with Google earth etc, but the problem is some of the fields are partially obscured by trees and you cant...

    App for measuring acreage

Its been awhile since I've been on here. Now that I have time again, I'm looking forward to getting back into foodplotting for deer after about 5 years off. The landowner of the farm I hunt wants to get an updated acreage estimate of the land that his farmer is tilling. Can anyone recommend an...

    How to silence ladder stands?

    Brassicas Prep?

I'm a little east of you, but the last few years I have been spraying 1/2 of each of my clover plots with 2 qts/ac of Gly in late August and then broadcasting 1/2 a full field rate of Kale and PTT into the stunted clover in early September with good success.

    Horsenettle recommendations

    Lessons Learned

Don't sweat what you can't control. Whenever possible, plan for the weather, but realize that ultimately, someone else is in charge. Sometimes, life gets in the way and you can't do everything exactly as planned. They're foodplots, not gardens or ag fields. If they aren't perfect, the deer will...

    ag lime cost

As you can see above, this can vary widely, depending on your proximity to a source and whether you can get a supplier to deliver and spread it in small quantities. A few years ago we had it delivered and spread for $90/ton for 6 tons total. High compared to some places, but, to my knowledge...

    Plant hardiness zone

If everybody lists their USDA zone along with their location in their profile, it really helps when replying to and viewing questions/ suggestions.
