Well we received 18" of snow overnight so nothing moving this morning. Still 30-40 mph wind.

I wish we had the land and opportunity to watch beautiful deer like this and let them walk. I did that for the first five years I owned my current place only to see them hanging in a tree at the neighbors accross the road.

Checking in from northeast Arkansan, Merle is chasing rabbits I believe with my little brother in the Mississippi River Delta so just me up here today.

Down to what is likely my final three or four hunts for deer. Wind still blowing like hell nothing has moved for the past two days that I can tell. Wind is supposed to die down after this evening so I'm hopeful for tomorrow. I feel like I've tried it all so I'm back to sitting on food with a nice view.

What were your rut dates this year? I haven't seen anything rutting for awhile now.

That was the last good movement I saw also. Deer seem to be on a feed pattern now. We also had very few acorns this year. Yesterday morning I had 8 does/fawns and this afternoon only had 2 does/fawns.

Yeah unfortunately for me I think all are big bucks moved out. I've passed several smaller bucks but our big deer Merle almost hit in the road a full town away, either that or he has a twin

That's not good. Maybe he will move back in for late season.
