I started putting in larger exclusion cages. When planting mixes tiny cages can’t even tell the whole story.

They have been eating on it right along, but I don’t have lots of deer in my area. We have a 13” inside rule on bucks and that’s generally what most people shoot. Add to that, two does up until Thanksgiving and poor fawn recruitment due to so many coyotes.

The hogs eat about as much as the deer do. The plot is a little thinner than the camera shows. It was sunn hemp, IC peas, buckwheat, and sunflowers.
