What is it ?

I had a guy at the MFA tell me this was wild mustard but the leaves don't look right for wild mustard.
Any guesses ? You can see how it is dispersed among my fescue filled clover plot in the background.

Looks like "Lesser Hop Trefoil" to me - or a close relative thereof. Kind of also resembles Black Medic, but the leaves don't look big enough in that picture. So, I will stick with the first guess.

Thanks Native. Does it have any benefit to deer? or are there any negative effects to it?

Jeff, it's one that deer will browse. I would rate it a good plant for deer but probably not high preference to them in most situations.
