Weed control in established food plot?

I sprayed glyphosate last weekend and went out today to mow so I can disc and seed tomorrow but saw that the spray did little to no kill off of weeds. I went ahead and mowed. Plan is to go back down to disc, then broadcast seed as there is rain in the forecast for Thursday but no other chance for at least 2 weeks. So I figured if I don't get seed in the ground now, it will be late in catching some rain later on and I want to get the food plot established.
So my question is since i didn't get a good weed kill off and they pop back up, what herbicide can I use to control the weeds? I'll be growing Rye, Wheat, Oats and Peas.

I give glyphosate at least 2 weeks to work. It takes some weeds longer to turn brown/die than others. You spraying now, discing and planting will work, but you will make viable weed seed available to the sunlight and will have weeds again anyway. Go ahead and plant, what weeds do grow should winter kill and you will be ok.

You don't have your location on your profile like most people here. It makes a big difference how far south you are. I agree with Doc, no need to spray if you are getting frost in a month. Butyrac200 is about the only thing that you can spray on that combo planting if you decide that you want to spray.

Glyphosate works well on most grasses, but there's some tough broadleaf weeds like marestail that glyphosate won't touch, but 2,4-D or 2,4-DB will kill without a problem.

I can use 2-4D once the seed I'm putting down is established without killing it?

I don’t think the peas will survive the 2-4D. The wheat, rye, and oats are actually in the grass family, but I sprayed a small plot of IC peas with Butyrac 200 (2-4DB) once just to see and it smoked them.

As said above, 7 to 10 days with the right mix of gly should kill anything that gly will kill. I just mowed a food plot today that was sprayed with gly at 2.5 oz. per gallon of water on Labor Day. Goat weed, bitter weed, dog fennel, and other stuff that I cannot identify were in abundance. Everything was smoked except some of the taller dog fennel, but it was dying from the bottom up. I don’t worry too much about weeds in the fall as their season is ending. Weeds or grasses in the spring present more and bigger problems. Good luck !

Ya gotta tell us what the weed is. Makes all the difference in how you approach it.
And not all weeds are bad. Some are actually more desirable than the stuff we plant.

Ends up that the gly did take affect, just took a little while to see the total results.
Went out today to put out some liquid fertilizer and things are coming along nicely, even though we haven't had another rain since the 1" I got the day after putting out the seed.
