This is an older 880. He came closer to the camera and the flash really was too much. I’d say in these pictures he’s 20’ from the camera. Really the magic zone.

Well dang it anyhow. On a positive note he might live to be a year older and be even better next year.

I decoyed this buck from ~200 yards to 15. Pretty neat encounter. How old do you think he is?

Same buck same tree last year. This is the only picture. I passed him last year at about 15 yards too. We’re like old friends now.

Decoying or rattling in a buck is always exciting!

Good to know we are thinking along the same lines. He didn't put on much antler from last year to this year, but I am hoping next year he hits a spurt. That is IF the neighbors don't take a poke. And by neighbors, I mean whoever is in the outfitters camp that week.........

This lad has showed up. Looks like a good deer. I think ha could use another year, but as usual, the “neighbors” never think that. Not sure what to do...

I think I would take him home with me. I think he is got some age to him and IMO I dont think that rack is going to change much in the years to come.

Seemingly every good buck in our area broke off an angler this year. Rifle season opens tomorrow and it is pretty discouraging. One bright spot is yesterday’s pull introduced this guy. Pretty good buck I think.
