Small Burnet for deer?

I recently bought a bag of Buck-on-Bag mix just because it sounded too good to be true: a perennial that thrives on poor dry ground with low pH. It contains a mystery forb that turned out to be small burnet. I was just wondering if any of you had tried it and what your experiences were.

I don’t have any experience with it, but after some reading, I think I’ll include it in a mix next fall for both bees/deer.

AI says Small Burnett is deer resistant?

Salad burnet (Sanguisorba minor) is a perennial herb known for its fresh, cucumber-like flavor, making it a popular addition to salads, soups, and drinks. This easy-to-grow plant features ferny foliage and small, crimson flowers, thriving in full sun and well-drained soil, and is hardy in USDA zones 4-8. It's a low-maintenance, deer-resistant herb that can be harvested regularly to encourage new growth, with the youngest leaves being the most flavorful.
