My vest is dry rot and needs replacing. Tired of cheap ones that are uncomfortable with the weight of 4 or 5 rabbits in back. Thinking a strap vest might be the way to go. Cool to use dove season and adjustable to fit over heavy winter coats. Do you guys have suggestions on brands or where to look. Thanks

I had one that was actually for turkey hunting that had a large pouch in the back. I used it for years but is was just a cheap wal-mart special. I would think Cabela's or Bass pro would have something. Like you mentioned even a dove/pheasant vest or even one for turkey may work for you. I'm not sure I have seen one with large pockets at the sides - most are in the back and will pull funny with some weight in it.
