Good Apple Crop this year.......
But then I kind of kept the deer out after June.....
So what a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon! Luke and I squeezed 2 bushels through this little press in no time and came out with 4 gallons of absolute liquid gold.
We put anything into the press. Usually its our less than ideal apples. This year's mix was Golden Del., Jonagold, Liberty, and Grimes Golden. And then a handful of odd and end apples. Luke did some squeezing on it.
The apples had been left in the barn for a week and were getting soft. Just perfect for juicing.
Those deer of mine get the uglier apples. Don't worry, they are well fed around here. But they aren't getting this nectar! Good luck with your apple trees!
