I am eyeing one of these in 6.5 cm. I have a CZ 22 lr and it is very high quality. I can't seem to find the centerfire rifles from CZ anywhere on the shelf, even though their US importer office is based in Kansas City. Just curious if anyone has any opinions on these? I would like to see one before I order of gun broker.

Ended up ordering one sight unseen. Below is the first 3 shot group out of it after sighting it in. Using some cheap Sig loads I picked up at the gun shop. Really good trigger for a factory gun. Going to take it up this weekend to see if I can get some blood on it.

That's a nice tight group for the first time out. How did your hunt go? On the 6.5 CR, I'm not quite sure what the hype is, 99% of shooters never shoot a thousand yards, and a .243 or a .270 will be a better hunting cartridge. I guess I have a chip on my shoulder about all these new cartridges coming out, practically guaranteed that most of them won't have ammo available in 20 years. I have a few really great guns like my .284 Winchester, .358 Win, and my dad's 16 ga that you almost can't find ammo for anymore...

Shot a doe at about 225 yards. She ran about 30 yards and fell over. Took a chunk of heart out so about any round would have did the same. I think with the higher bullet weight and heavy for caliber (high BC) it is better than the 243. Less kick and noise than a 270. Definity doesn't have the thump of my 30/06 or even the 308. Ammo availability is one of the things I like about it everywhere has 6.5 cm. Fairly heavy rifle so it doesn't kick much, 24 inch barrel so fairly quite out of the box blind.
