Cheatgrass (Downy Brohm)

Have any of you ever waited to plant fall plots after spraying cheatgrass? If so, when does it typically begin growing? It would be nice for the cereals not to have to compete with it. I can wait to kill it with cleth next spring obviously, but I’d much rather not have it this winter, if possible.

I might have answered my own question today. I was over at the Massey checking a camera and saw this…

Looks like it’s already growing! I’ll begin spraying next week.
