Hadn’t had an issue with deer browsing on my AC until this year. Got behind with a kidney stone and had not made it back to the farm to put up cages around 2 of my trees/bushes and the deer had ate almost everything. Any hope they’ll put out more catkins???
Yes! ACs get the blight and will die back to the roots. They will put up new shoots and be producing nuts in 2 years. They respond the same to fire, dying back and putting up new shoots. Unless they were young and not well established, I would expect a similar response.
