That is a very cool observation but quite frankly not surprising. Although not exactly the same, I see somewhat similar behavior in my cut over regeneration. The regen is about 8 ft tall and very thick and I have noticed that once the deer get to it, they aren't in a big hurry to get in...

Native - I absolutely love the pic of the NWSG with the path cut in.....that to me is the best bedding habitat one can have.

In general, I would say that box/tower blinds conceal scent quite well....may depend on how it is built and positioned. I have had very good success with tower blinds. I believe that deer absolutely get used to them.....I have deer walk right under it while sitting inside.
