    Apple tree mildew?

Sorry I didn't get back sooner. Yes, that looks like powdery mildew. Normally a couple fungicide applications will do it. Sovran, Flint, Rally Rubigan, Inspire Super, or Topsin M will all work. Most are pretty expensive though, Topsin M should be the cheapest. Not sure you can get them in small...

15 fruit trees - Plant together?

Nice looken spot Sam! Looks like you did the one thing I would have added to the other thoughts, and that is to put them between bedding and destination plots/fields. They feel more comfortable going into orchards rather than fields where they are in the open. You will catch them on the move...

    Let the feast begin!

Ya guys, a word to the wise is sufficient! Use those safety lines all the way up the tree and down. Fish cut buds in half, if they are green they are good, if they are brown they are bad. Bad one........

    Let the feast begin!

Back home, surgery went real well. A lot less pain than I thought I'd be in. I did go right out for an orchard walk, my wife yelling at me to get in all the way. lol. She keeps a good eye on me! We just walked, it felt good. Buds look great, should have a great crop. Deer should be fed well this...

    Let the feast begin!

I was out of work for a month and a half. This surgeon wants me to not lift anything heavy for a month, but wants me doing things right away. He wants me out in the orchards working and walking a bunch. I've got barn boards coming next week, so I guess I won't be part of putting that up. I've...

    Let the feast begin!

I had the bottom of a climber blow out underneath me on my way up a tree. I had my safety vest on and was going to hook in once I got up to where I was going. I was in a hurry....bad move! Broke 6 ribs, 5 vertebrae, lacerated liver, internal bleeding, punctured lung, pneumothorax! Stupid I...

    Let the feast begin!

Thanks guys. Ya think I would have done something sooner! Just stubborn I guess. Thought they might get better, but they just got worse. Many Dr's said they couldn't fix them, I found someone up on a new procedure to fix them. (look at the left side, those two displaced ones, 7&8, never healed)

    Let the feast begin!

We are getting as much done as possible this weekend in the orchards. (taking a little break now) I am having surgery in the morning to repair some badly busted up ribs from a fall a few years back. Two never healed and are driving me nuts...! Some Liberty's today......

    Let the feast begin!

Thanks for the response Weasel. We will get an apple cam back out in the fall. I'll go take some pics in the meantime of trees in the orchards. Starting to really green up finally. I took an orchard walk this AM. Everything progressing nicely. I'm at about 1/2" green with most varieties today...

Where to buy 5-6' apple trees

Also Adams County Nursery and Stark Bros. I've bought thousands from these two. Always good trees. Get with some friends, buy in bulk and save. Stark starts at 50, ACN 25. This will get you trees at $15 or less.
