I would say a 1.5 yr old, but hey man, you got your first buck! Nothing wrong with that at all! Starting out, don't get sucked into the antler vortex that runs rampant now a days. Certainly nothing wrong with holding out for a "trophy", but as a newer hunter just have fun!

My guess would be 3.5. Thing is you never know what a buck can turn into, but if you have better genetics running around I would have a kid take him out.

I have shot a number of deer with a longbow, but a few years ago I purchased a Schafer Silvertip Recurve. I had yet to harvest one with it, but finally succeeded this past week. I got some great footage of the hunt and made a tribute video to Paul Schafer. Hope you enjoy......

Took my 13 years old out for her first sit of the year this past Sunday. She is a stone cold kller with a gun, but had yet to connect with her bow. She made a good shot and had officially joined the ranks! Lots of fun and good memories made! I was able to get the hunt on film. Check it out!
