    Time to evict the blackberries

I can't tell by the picture the cuts you performed to the trunk. Do you just hack it every 4 - 6 inches? Looks like imazapyr 4 sl works for blackberries as well. I just need to find out what % would recommend for that, so I don't have to go into the woods with multiple herbicides :)

    Drought and Survival

It's been extremely dry here in N. Central Florida. We finally started getting rain this weekend. Hopefully it continues as even the creek is bone dry. Sorry to read about your wife Drycreek. Wishing her a quick recovery. I messed up my ankle pretty good a few years ago and one thing that...

    Time to evict the blackberries

Reviving an old thread as I'm looking to evict some blackberries as well. Some background, I picked up a timber track last year and was so excited to see blackberries on the stand. Initially I just saw a few patches, so I thought they weren't that big of an issue and who doesn't like...

Thoughts on grafted thornless honey locust cultivars?

Some of the stories I've read online had me a bit concerned on how they could spread. The food plot I'd be placing these in are towards the middle of my pine stand. I'm using prescribed fire to help control the understory/competition in the stand. From what I've read honey locust do not...

Thoughts on grafted thornless honey locust cultivars?

Thank you. I think I'm going to add a couple of the grafted thornless cultivars to the list of trees I will test in the food plot. They have other uses which I'm interested in if I can get them to work and they don't get out of control (https://permies.com/t/36615/Honey-Locust-nitrogen-fixing).

State Nurseries - Ordering out of state ?

Hello, I've seen state nurseries mentioned in various different posts as a good source of trees. Unfortunately, the one here in Florida is limited on the tree varieties you can select from. Thus my question :) Do state nurseries such as MDC ship out of state? I'm looking through some of...

Thoughts on grafted thornless honey locust cultivars?

Hello , I'm putting together a list of trees to plant on my property to help attract deer and came across honey locust. Based on what I've read, it seems in general honey locust can be invasive, but are a food source for various different wildlife (which includes deer). The site I...
