    The Playground

Not a measurable rain since I planted my two bird feeders. Remind me I said I am switching everything to clover next year and not donating seed to these fall plots. Got one working the rope, the ones with antlers aren't as interested yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Took 17 years but I have him somewhat capable of pitching in! Not sure if the verbal feedback and upkeep costs offset the labor! Trying to keep a little bit of the farm in these city kids I am trying to raise. Good to get some dirt on him, hopefully he will get a deer or two in the plot he...

Nothing brings out my desire to plant food plots like 100+ heat indexes. But free weekends are hard to find anymore! This plot was supposed to be sunflowers and milo, mostly foxtail, other grass, and ragweed. Put the new blades on my little finish mower and got it looking like a golf...

    Suppressor?

My understanding is the bill that PASSED just dropped the price to $0 but you still have to go through the stamp process. Mine was in process already and I didn't want to wait in line come Jan 1! Silencer Central occasionally does free tax stamps now. As I said earlier I would highly...

    Suppressor?

Ended up with a Banish Backcountry. 5.5 inches long and pretty light. Works pretty well on the 6.5 with a 24" barrel. Working on getting the old '06 shortened up to 20" and threaded. Silencer Central was as easy to work with as advertised. Little over a month from start to delivery at the...

The blue dashed line is my spray route from last trip. If you haven’t tried it, the tracker feature on OnX is pretty slick. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yep stuff loves the fire. Sprayed it with some generic garlon 3 and surfactant. Never ending battle, trying to avoid spraying all the crp like we did a few years ago.

    Olive

From what I have seen on the mulchers it looks pretty good the first year. Then the pi$$ed off root sprouts blow up once the mulch thins out a little. Better luck with a puller but you will still have some sprout back. Even with spray the seed bank sticks around. I am having decent luck with...

    Attractant for Camera survey

Don Higgins had a video on you tube saying he was using rope scrapes for his inventories. I have three setup now with cameras on them, too early for much action. I am in a CWD zone so mineral and feed is off limits.

Went up to mow and do a little spraying. I was going to till up this plot that I spayed last round to get ready for a fall plot, but then I found a lighter in the truck. Spring burn is about knee high. Some areas came back really good. Others, as expected, needed a little tryclopyr...

    Habitat / Outdoor Working Clothes

Light carhart pants and cheap long sleeve fishing shirts from either Academy or Roger's. Plenty of Sawyer's permethrin added too.

    Thoughts on fox kill

Best coyote set you can get is after you catch a skunk.
