    My new Henry carbine

I will probably use the cartridge loops to hold empties as I will have seven loads in the carbine and some more in my pack. I have a butt cuff on my .280 and that's what i use the loops for, keeps them from being lost.

Ebay. It’s a little better quality than what I expected considering the cost. It’s supposed to be a shotgun sling, but I ordered it for .410 shotgun knowing that the .41 mag cartridges should fit it perfectly and they did.

I said I was gonna post a picture of my sling, but I just now remembered to. Here ‘tis !

What is your “go to” weapon for deer hunting ?

You have some interesting and unique guns. The 8x57 makes a great deer cartridge, about equal to a 30-06 and the Mauser 98 action is a good platform.

Summer No-till Plot - Buckwheat & Sunn Hemp

That’s a good looking plot Jack. If I had known we were going to get this much rain in July I would have terminated my spring plot about two weeks ago and planted a buckwheat plot.

No Sir, a canvas and leather sling that holds a few cartridges, also has a carry loop on it. I‘ll get a picture of it tomorrow.

    My new Henry carbine

I received my trigger kit this morning and proceeded to tackle the install. I’m no gunsmith, but I had watched the YouTube video and it looked easy enough. It was, but the I had difficulty getting the screw that goes through the trigger group and seats into the other side of the frame to go all...

You nailed it ! I was tickled to get it because anything .41 mag is like the redheaded stepchild of the gun world. I knew I couldn’t pass it up.

I just watched a YouTube vid on installing a Ranger Point trigger kit. It’s so easy, even a cave man can do it. That’s me !🤔

    My new Henry carbine

Those were 25 yard groups MM, I didn’t want to shoot it anymore until I get that trigger fixed. I emailed Henry about the trigger and was advised that a 4/6 lb. trigger was in spec in order for the rifle to pass the drop test. That’s silly because the Henry has no “safety notch” to break if it’s...

No, they were from a piece of a box of Remington factory loads, 210 grain soft points. I do handload for my revolvers, but I haven’t shot any in this carbine. I looked around on the internet concerning the trigger and basically what I read was that Henry triggers are a crapshoot as to whether...

What is your “go to” weapon for deer hunting ?

We sell a lot of coffee here, but most of it is hog swill and priced like gold. 😂😂😂 I get mine at the corner store in town from the same woman for about 30 years. She makes it better than I can !

Well, I feel for you. Where you are born is an accident of birth, no more no less. Even with all our problems, the USA is still the most free country on the planet and I’m glad I was born here, and more importantly, glad I was born in Texas.
