    Never loan out you’re equipment!

Yikes yep I come from a large family. Someone always wanting to use something. Used to loan things out. After all that’s the Christian thing to do right. Not any more. I have to depend on my equipment for my business. If someones gonna break it, it’s gonna be me

dilute glypho to kill weeds yet allow clover to survive??

I use 1oz per gallon 41% gly and clover handles it just fine. Does a pretty good job at killing grasses. This time of yr is ideal with plenty of moisture. This is my 3 acre destination clover field this wk.

Best apple tree size for whitetail habitat improvement?

Listen to NH he has got as green thumb when it comes to apples and all other trees! If this orchard is mostly for the deer I would consider including some crabs... Cant go wrong with enterprise though. I have a couple and have been very impressed with their growth and DR. If I could only plant...

    Throw N Mow thread...

I have seen milo/sorghum growing on the edge of the hwy. Also seen it reseed intself. I'm thinking its worth a shot. Just wish I would have done it already. Getting a little late in the growing season here in MO. Hell may be worth throwing a handful of turnips in the mix as well. Double and...

    Throw N Mow thread...

Anyone tried lightly broadcasting grain sorghum into a clover plot before mowing? I have a 2 acre destination clover plot that I am considering this for a little security structure within the plot. Do not want to choke out the clover but thought I may take advantage of some of the nitrogen it...

    Bush hogging

If somthing has gotten “way” tall an over grown its best to get the area back under control in Feb/March. Your able to navigate it and see trees that you may need to cut with a saw better. An a bonus is no fawns on the ground. I’d focus on your beans this weekend and let the power line be.

    The Brushpile

Trees look great Brush. These Mo rains are crazy. My trees are loving it. Couple questions. How has your keifer pear held up over the years? Seems I have heard of several guys having major fire blight issues. I am looking to graft a fairly large quantity of keifer and Korean Giants this winter...

    How will I be affected?

Steve you mentioned this being a relative and you have access. Wonder if you could pay him to leave a strip on beans for winter food along your prop lines. I know you said you prefer to hunt your own ground but this could be an amazing thing in Dec/Jan! With him planting 50acres surely he...

    Will these apple trees survive?

Sweet! Smart to prune it back like you did. The other tree the same variety? I have a wickson that has been way slow for buds to break compared to everything else. Not sure what’s up with it.
