    Crossbow ...yup!

Nope ..I was saying that external events like rain, wind, sleet ...a distant chainsaw ...ALL EXTEND the range of the crossbow as it seems to take the deer a bit more time to pull out the sound ...hence the arrow has more time to travel before deer reaction to bow sound ...that EQUALS longer...

I would like some ACCF based American chestnut seed if anyone can spare some ...I'm old but before I'm gone I would like to see on our family farm American Chestnuts ...I only mention ACCF seed stock as I am reading it is exhibiting "some" blight resistance and I figure as old as I am I better...

    Pull behind spreader suggestions

I don't know the size of your tractor but a 35HP (maybe less if you can hook it up) will easily manage the small fertilizer buggies from Coop/MFA/Southern States etc The fertilizer is way cheaper from the Ag people too ...you are actually getting/buying the weight/amount of each nutrient that is...

    Late again

My trouble with clover plots is I know what to do ...when to do it ...and sometimes a bit behind schedule and then I lose the plot to nesting turkeys ...just cannot mess with my turkey nesting ...so I would love clover but have given in to annuals for deer ...nest the turkeys ...then plant for...

    Plot in the woods question

Put as much lime on it as you possibly can ... no such thing as too much lime in the woods ....mow it ...grow it ...mow it ...that way you kill off the floor fauna and give your existing plot some grow time ...as far as fall leaves ....we use a gas a leaf blower and clear all of our timber food...

    Honeysuckle

SO ...I have always heard that if you are cutting stem/trunk/tree type woody stuff that the application of herbicide needs to happen ASAP ...that waiting for the next day for example allows the plant to "seal" the injury thereby allowing little or no chemical to enter the kill zone of the plant...

    Canamaize Experience

One would also want to really investigate how wise planting it would be to plant small n short corn if there are ANY raccoons in your area ....in my part of the world big n tall is the only way there is any left for the deer by fall Bear
