I never knew that manure raises your PH, I thought people used it instead of liming their plots. I always denied my neighbor when he asked if I wanted some on my plots. My thought was it would have cause more weed growth in my plots.

I should have added that my primary use of the spreader would be for spreading, Pelletized, lime, cereal grains and fertilizer. For small seed I use a solo and Scott hand held.

I recently ordered a solo but I id not get a chance to use it.

I use scaffolding for a platform and it works out good for us. One is permanent about 12 feet off the ground. The other one is 5 foot off the ground only used one section and over the years we have moved this set up around the property.

I found out Echo has a 5 year warranty compared to a 1 year warranty for stihl. I know both are good saws but I think right now I would be leaning towards the Echo for about $20. more
