Trees that sat out over winter

If you can still bend the wood without it breaking then I'd let them be for a while and see what happens. If you bend it to 90 degrees (carefully) and it doesn't snap the tree is still alive. My bur oaks here have been putting on leaves of the last couple weeks. Water Oaks have already flowered and pollen was everywhere a week or so ago. Concordias are just now starting. Chestnuts have had leaves for 3 weeks or so. Pecan are just now starting as well. It's been a weird Spring so far.

So would mine be dead because lack of watering over the winter? Or should I have brought them inside over the winter?
