22-250, Nosler 55 grain BT performance on coyote

This isn't a new picture. I posted it last year on the old forum.

This is a rectal shot on a coyote going straight away at around 250+ yards. Gun is a Tikka 22-250 with a 55 grain BT and a max load of H380. It works equally well on groundhogs and any varmint.

Saw the yote over 400 yards away, ran to within about 250 and rested on a gate. Coyote moving straight away from me by then.



 
Just built a custom tikka t3 lite stainless in .223 for coyotes, i considered a 22-250 for the longest time, probably shoulda went that route!

Either caliber is fine and both easy to handload for. A guy just has to decide if the extra speed of the 250 is worth it to him. Good luck with your gun.
