Who here west of the Mississippi River hunts only does for meat?

I said "young guy" tongue in cheek, you're my age, and I'm only young at heart. Anyway, you're getting a lot of good ideas on here now for hunting in your home area, in the US there's probably good public hunting opportunities within a 2 hr drive for anybody in any state. And, if you want to drive to places like Kansas there's public land with some pretty nice trophies taken every year.
I know public areas in Oklahoma to kill nice bucks...he only mentioned does so I figured that’s all he wanted. Lots of Buck ops in Ok...

I did'nt mean to insinuate that there's no trophies in Oklahoma. I was trying to point out that he's living in the middle of a lot of great hunting country.

I would think it would be easy to find an outfitter to sell a doe only hunt, but I’d think with minimal legwork or effort you could easily kill a doe anywhere east or west of Mississippi.
If it’s meat or adventure your looking for I’d look at buying a cow elk tag on one of the luxury elk ranches out west.
