"Whitetail Hollow" - 90 Acres NE Oklahoma.

Due to the almost daily rain and a death in the family I have been abroad for a couple of weeks now...security video cameras on our home have been getting a lot of activity of a single doe utilizing the clover in our yard as a feeding area and I told my wife she has a fawn or fawns right there somewhere...well today the cameras proved me right.

I just got home after being abroad for almost 2 weeks...I guess it rained at some point every day here while I was gone so it’s pretty much a swamp. Clover and everything else went nuts! I saw lots of sign of usage while out there...

The old broke leg buck is still around but I am not sure my target deer has shown yet...

This deer looks like pretty healthy.

BTW if you’ve never been to Yellowstone you really should put it on your bucket list...

Cool pics. As for Yellowstone, just got back Saturday from a week long trip to YS and the Grand Tetons. Absolutely amazing trip. The scenery is unbelievable! I highly recommend it to anyone that has any interest whatsoever in the outdoors. Get the Gypsy Guides app and you won’t miss a thing.

We were in Yellowstone Thursday and Friday...our base of operations was Cody. We had no idea we were even going but we were in Rapid City SD and I looked at mapquest and it showed a 7.5 hour trip from there so I asked the wife if she was game so we just winged it...it is my 4th trip to Yellowstone with my first one being in 1972, then 1984, then 1994...I picked up a book called “Death in Yellowstone” that describes the mishaps that have taken life there...for me the worst are what happens to folks when they somehow fall into one of the thermal pools...

I had a local guide me around Jellystone on one visit it was interesting all the ways people end up dead there. One episode the car stopped at a geothermal pool and the guy let his lab out who jumped right in first thing. The guy followed his dog in trying to save it. The guys friend followed the guy in trying to save him. The second guy was saved half lobsterized.

People go to Jellystone to jump off the upper floor inside of the big log structure at Old Faithfull.

Don't pet the bison.

Nice dog pack, I might add.

Stay on the trail! I was reading about a guy that fell in to one of the acidic pools. 450 degrees and lots of sulphuric acid. He was dissolved. Pretty country though. Hope I can get a trip out there in the near future.

We are going back in September...I want to see everything in hard horn there and to hear the bugling elk.

I don’t know what happened to the dog pack...it has been MIA for a week and a half now...

I know this one...he limped around all last year and looked pretty pathetic and I wasn’t sure he would even live through the winter but it looks like he did...
