Johnny...Those Banks feeders are getting a lot of action. I haven't put fed anything out of feeders all summer. And...hunting over bait has just been legalized in the Northern Zone of GA. It's been legal in Southern Zone for a number of years. Now legal state wide. I guess I need to fill em up. Wally World, TSC, and the local feed n seed stores can't keep corn in stock right now. Goes as fast as they get it in. I like feeding deer but have never hunted over feed. Just seems weird to me since we've never been able to do it before now.

I am not sure when it became legal in Oklahoma or even if it has ever been illegal here. I know it cannot be used on public land but is good to go on private. Sometimes you can get lucky on a big deer at bait but usually it is when a doe comes in and he follows her. None of the 3 big deer I got last year came off of bait but my wife’s big deer did. I usually have a couple big deer I can never get a picture of around a feeder day or night...

It was great! The track was nice and I got to check out out a bunch of nice race cars. I had been trying to get to that race for many years and it finally happened!

It is 68 here with a nice N breeze so after I went to church and had lunch I decided to go across the road and trim some shooting lanes. Got 2 stands done and was headed to the stand where the feeder is and I noticed a large bodied deer feeding under it. Wind was in my favor and when he raised his head it was a big 9 point shooter buck. I eased out of there...other cameras showed deer in the south plot all morning up until 1:30 in the afternoon...

I told you they would use that feeder if you gave them time to get used to it.

One thing I learned this year: take the feeder down when you aren’t using it. Or at a minimum make sure there is not one left over morsel of food left in it. Squirrels chewed through mine recently.

Filled with 300 lbs on 9/8/18

Almost completely empty on the 13th...

Completely empty in the very early morning of the 14th...

Those dogs would drive me absolutely crazy. Very irresponsible of the owners to allow that. Didn’t you have cows invading your plots at one point? How did you get them off of your property?

Looks like you got several bucks to choose from.

Your feeding program... You feed year round? What do you supply? Any idea how much you go thru in a year?

I always like to play “which one would I go after” from other people’s trail cameras. That 8 point is tempting, but I couldn’t help but hunt that nontypical.

I know you don't want that dog there, and neither would I. I'd be upset and raising hell. But, look at the pure joy on it's face as it's running those deer. LOL. It's not the dog's fault. He's just being a dog. The owners are the problem.

Been bow season since the 1st...haven’t got to hunt at all. Stepped out on the porch Tuesday morning and had 5 at 10 yards...

Much too hot with lows in the mid 70’s at night and near 90 during the day with incessant south winds...

Also somehow tore my rotator cuff in my right shoulder slightly per MRI and got a diagnosis of “frozen shoulder” by surgeon. Doing PT but my test have shown I can’t even shoot a 40 lb bow. Got a crossbow so I will get out but just not the same...

I will leave you with a couple pics from our deer lease...
