"Whitetail Hollow" - 90 Acres NE Oklahoma.

Well, brushhogging season is upon us and I was nowhere near ready. I have several folks that like me to Brushhog their place just before memorial weekend so I decided I had better change out the broken stump jumper under my brushhog.

1 of the blade bolts I couldn’t get loose without mechanical advantage using a big pipe wrench, post driver, winch, and a tree...

13th floor and you are there WITHOUT a Check Out Date. How does the Eagle's song go?
"You can check out any time you like,
But you can never leave!'"
I have fought those blade bolts similar fashion before. With that ComeAlong you could turn over the tractor

Well I thot for a minute this was going to be another tree on top of tractor story. Surprised didn't just scoot tractor sideways, those things can be a beast especially with no torch. Great job. 13th floor? Doesn't bother me but my son would've slept in the car. I once questioned his stubbornness on this and he reminded me that when he broke his leg during his motorcycle racing days, that he was in the 13th gate, in the 13th race, on the 13th lap, pacing a racer whose number was 13. Just couldn't argue with that LOL.

Johnny...You don’t have the reputation as the hardest working man on the forum without good reason. Not surprised you made that work. MacGuyvoring at it’s finest. Time for some bush hogging!

Seems all my hard work nowadays is work travel and herding cats (staff)...lol

Dead center of Dallas now where the streets smell like a urinal...

Live from the stand...

For the record just before dark the boar came out and spooked the deer off. I shot him with a 30/30 at 25 yards in the shoulder and he ran off crashing through everything. I heard a loud guttural grunt about 200 yards from me while still in the stand and I got down to search...no blood and with no light and how thick it was I could not find him. I am assuming he is dead but you never know. I was solid on him and 150 grain bullet should have done the trick...will look more tonight...BTW he is an old boar and I never intended him as table fare...

After seeing your maintenance, I won’t complain about the dead battery in the tractor and the flat on my side by side I was greeted with today.

Well...1 year and 3 months after having our shop pad completed we finally found a pole barn builder that actually wanted to build us a pole barn...I felt sorry for them while watching them try to dig holes in the rock pile. It took all day long for 4 guys working their tail off even using the skid steer with a rock bit. Some of those holes took over 45 minutes each...

Maybe finding someone to build the barn was the easy part.....finding someone willing to put that much work into it may have been the hard part!

Your little bush-hog issue looks like some stuff I would try and the wife would come out and tell me how I'm gonna kill myself in the process! Somehow she manages to show up right when I'm about to really do something dumb. She claims she watches just so someone can call 9-1-1......I figure she just wants to be the first one to say, "I told you so!"

You ever find your hog?

Yesterday the barn builder sent me this photo and they weren’t able to make it to work...they made it today though...

Fixing the brushhog was the safe way for me...may have a torn rotator cuff...waiting on an MRI...

Never looked for the hog again. Much too busy brushhogging when I am not at my day job...

The pole barn is looking real good. It's amazing how much we use our shoulders. Do the docs have you on any restrictions (and are you going to listen to them anyway)?
