Whats your bow of choice?

Obsession Knightmare here. Hard to find a truly bad bow these days compared to what I grew up on. Heck the recurves I build will out shoot my first compound.

Old timer check...first bow Bear Polar Ltd and first stand was a baker mighty mite.

My first bow was a Bear Whitetail Hunter and my first stand was a Baker Mighty Mite also.

Black Widow MA II 61# @ 29 and a Bowtech Assassin 70# with 29.5" draw...

Killed a bunch of deer with the Widow and so far only 1 with the Bowtech but I have killed some turkeys and a coyote with it...

Black Widow PTF IV. 48# at 28". 1st bow was a Shakespeare Wonder Bow back in early 70s. Only problem was there were no deer back then to speak of. Never shot at a deer with the Shakespeare. Prolly a good thing. Never was very good with that bow. Black Widow is one fine shooting bow that just seems to hit where you're looking with enough practice.

Like many others, I am not brand loyal. I am currently shooting a 2013 Obsession Lethal Force. Prior to that I shot a 2003 Bowtech Mighty Mite.

I shoot a bowtech assassin. I think there are a lot of great bows out anymore. I would shoot any Mathews, bowtech, or hoyt that I care to pay for. My dad is a hard core PSE guy; I truly think that are a step behind now.

I fully intended to buy a new Matthews or Hoyt this past winter but the guy in the bow shop told me to shoot the Elite before making any decisions. Needless to say, I walked out the door with an Elite Impulse 34. It is the smoothest bow I have ever shot and I am very pleased. I have owned Matthews, Hoyt and XI over the years but, for me, the Elite is the best bow I've ever owned.

Elite Pure. I have a long draw length and I'm left eye dominant. Finding bows to shoot was not easy, but I'm glad I found the Pure.

I have a good friend that just switched to shooting left handed so he could keep both eyes open. Best thing he's done for his accuracy. I came very close to buying his old right handed Elite from him. Nice shooting bows for sure.

Dad tested my brother and I when we were young and he started me off shooting lefty. Definitely makes shooting with both eyes open easier.

Primary hunting bow is a Black Widow PLIII longbow. I hunted with an older Widow SAII last season and shot a doe, but I finished the season with the longbow. I have the recurve up for sale or a trade for another PL.

Home made take down long bow or recurve and Martin compound when my shoulder or lack of practice time keeps me from traditional.

Favorite recurve was and still is the Kodiak Magnum Takedown at 55#. Still have it.
Favorite compound was my original Oneida Screaming Eagle. Still have it.
Now I hunt with a Scorpyd Ventilator crossbow and love it.

Z28. 13 deer with it and hopefully counting. I keep thinking I "need" a new bow, admittedly I stopped looking a few years ago as I couldn't find a new bow with better specs and draw. The Strother Wrath had the brace height and almost the speed but not the smooth draw. New Breed has caught my attention but if someone has a bow out there with over a 7.5" BH and speed at 340+ (IBO) let me know!!! My dream bow would have 8"BH and sling an old school aluminum telephone pole xx75 @ 300fps (30"dl@70# w/100g Helix bh)..maybe someday.
