A couple nights ago I had a hankering for breakfast. My bride fixed me up with hash browns, fried eggs, biscuits, and venison cutlets. Mmm, mmm, good !
Had the crew over Friday nite and the vote went to Super Nachos. Had leftover steak n chicken in the fridge. Everybody was happy. Complete with home made guac. Was on the River at 6:30 next morning and first cast produced a nice size striper. Last night we had striper tacos grilled on the Traeger n coated in various concoctions from the spice rack.
This was the best deer steak I’ve ever had, I don’t think I’m kidding. Simple too: olive oil rub, garlic powder, seasoning salt, and pepper. Cooked on grill at 2.5 minutes per side to maybe a tad under medium rare. Topped with a little bleu cheese. Holy smokes was that good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tonight my bride of 40 years (come August) fried up a little axis deer, and had some smashed taters, gravy, and fresh sweet corn on the cob. Biscuits too ! Mmmm mmmm good !
