What type of Hawthorne?

    Any ideas or am I going to have to wait till green up and fruit time?

    This is growing on nodaway silt creek bottom by the MO/IA border

    No 'e', unless you're talking about Nathaniel.

    I can't tell from the pics. Here(KY/TN line), it would most likely be cockspur hawthorn - C.crus-galli.
    I have grafted pear onto C.crus-galli understock. It's quite dwarfing.
