The second photo of the buck reminds me of the song phrase - ...love the one you are with.

He appears to have been with many ...

You know, when humans find themselves single again, they tend to shed weight........

Boys been putting on some miles. Amazing how much weight they can lose during the Rut. Now that he has found your place maybe he can stack on some calories. Good looking buck though.

Checked cameras today and second rut has brought him back out in daylight again several times this week. I set down tonight and dug out 4 years of trail camera pics of this deer - aged him at 5.5. Will be interesting to see if he gains any mass next year. I predict he will at least gain some, but probably close to maxing out. I let him walk during gun season this year, but age wise, he should be targeted for sure next year at 6.5.
