Are my trees getting too much sun? That’s what my guess is, had the same issue last year and put a shade cloth over the top. That helped last year, but this year it doesn’t look like it. I wrapped some landscaping fabric around my cage over the weekend to keep even more sun off of them. Hoping this helps but wanted to see everyone else’s opinion!

That looks like sun scald

i would place them on north or east facing slope(or house) or use 55% shade cloth

Would be unusual to see that here in east texas this early in spring

A real problem ,however by early, mid summer!!

I don’t use rain water but am in the process of hooking up a barrel. I believe the problem was we got a little frost when I was out of town, along with some sun scald. I hope it wasn’t enough to knock them back.
