Tree replacement, bear problem

    This man speaks from experience. One year we tried BlueX tree tubes. Bears destroyed every single one, within a few months.

    Oh yeah, I’ve lost Plenty of tree tubes to bears.

    I had hoped removing the blue 5 gallon Lowe’s buckets from each cage would solve my problem, unfortunately it did not.

    Yes same here! Treestands, trail cams (I now run security / bear boxes on all my cams), 4 wheeler seats (don't ask), & climbing stands left in the woods overnight ughhh!

    You have plenty of sunlight in that area to set up a solar energizer should you decide to wire & go hot!

    Definitely plenty of sun but I want deer in there.

    Bet you wouldn't have to do more than 4 wires 10" apart to keep bears out. I'm sure deer would hop that w/o thinking about it but it would prob. deter some. It'll be interesting to see if they actually jump my top wire at 5-5.5'...

    Bear fences sold for brown bear country often have just a wire or two running on a tiny battery. I guess the bears nose is so sensitive it can detect the electric current and they want nothing to do with it.
