I have built 2 tower blind that were 6 x 6. They where 10 feet to the floor. I used green sheet metal for the walls and roof. Sold the place where they were. Bought another place closer to home. Looking at building another tower blind. Just looking for camo sheet metal this time. I found some from this place www.timelesstimbers.net. The only problem it is 22 dollars a foot. I'm not paying that. I thought about getting green and using stencils to camo the green. Does anyone know of any other camo sheet metal. I know menards has some don't like the color.

Friend,

I don't know of any camo metal. Get some spray paint at Walmart and you can create tree / limb structure with paint. If you have a light green metal or gray metal you can make it look good.

Thing about paint - if you goof it up - just cover it with another coat. It is impressive what $10 of spray paint will accomplish.

Give it a go. Just think how far away a deer will eyeball this blind. You are simply breaking up the image.

Colors that blend - lite gray, lite green and tan / lite brown grass color, sky blue. Colors that define; black, brown, dark hunter green.
You don't need all these colors, I am just giving you some examples.

Let us know what you decide and how it turns out. For me 6 by 6 would be hard not to stretch out in and saw some logs.

Good luck friend.

That other forum had a short article about a group who painted a tower blind hot pink or some other outrageous color. The deer paid no more attention than anything else in their world .Proven with cameras. Since color does not really matter, buy cheap and paint as you prefer.
