Things are looking brighter.

Turned 70 today. Over the last few years I've been talking to m eye doctor about my failing eyesight. He kept telling me that I was developing cataracts but they were not to the point that they could be removed. Well, yesterday I had the procedure done on my right eye. I am doing fine and the results are rather amazing. I was afraid to let anyone cut into my eye, but after talking to a lot of friends that have had the procedure I said go for it. The results actually surprised me. Things are definatelly l looking brighter. If anyone is considering it, I highly recommend doing it.

Congrats on reaching the 3 score and 10 year mark! Ain't but 7.5 yrs away myself. Seems kinda young these days. Glad you got your 1st eye done and might as well get the other. Keep swinging the bat Jack!

Had mine done 8 years ago, best thing ever did. See better than since 9 yo. Wear glasses only when reading, or really want the 20/20. They are 20/30 wo glasses. Great stuff for anyone in the outdoors. My dad has his done at 55 and he is headed toward 88. Sees like an eagle. And Happy Birthday young man.

I'm supposed to have the other eye done in about 5 weeks. Had 20/25 in my right eye today and the Dr. said that's exceptional for the first day after surgery. I was really apprehensive at first and now I can't wait.

Happy bday Jack! My dad had that done and he basically had the same apprehension and positive outcome/reaction as you. Glad it has gone so well.

Good to hear your eye surgery was successful. Be even better when the second one gets restored.

On turning 70 congrats. You know what happens when your are over the hill? You pick up speed friend. I am only 4 1/2 years behind you.

Enjoy the things you love and stay as active as possible is what I believe keeps us young.

Merry Christmas Jack.

I agree with your attitude. I thought I'd go nuts when I retired. I keep thinking of getting another job so I can take it easy for a while. If I had known I was going to make it this long I would have taken better care of this danged body though. I was sure my wife would have shot me long before this. :) She hates it when I remind her that she has been married to me for 50 of those 70 years.
