The Shed

Looks good,I have some of those windows, they have a couple holes in them now.I started buying mine from the original deer blind window company.Strange name but they have really good windows

I bought the framed hinge windows from the original deer blind window company. Those shipped quick and I really like those. The hinge windows from deer view took forever but weren’t needed right away so not a big deal. Haven’t installed them yet. Both seem like decent enough quality. Time will tell I suppose.

EW screen about 6’ now.

Some of the squash from the garden. Wish I knew what the hell I was looking at. Haha. I think I bought a mix from Jung. Squash, pumpkins, and cukes love the soil here apparently. Tons of small cukes should be ready soon. I think we have the corn in too much shade. Will have to rotate next year.

Funny you mention that your cell cams service is better than our actual cell phones...I have the exact same issue and my wife is NOT happy. I have a verizon cell cam (Exodus) and it gets 4 bars. My AT&T cell gets half a bar best case scenario! I took the plunge and Switched to Verizon a week ago and get much, much better service, but I still don;'t get the 4 bars like the cell camera. I think that little stubby antenna makes all the difference.

Your plots and gardens look fantastic. I'm still fighting low PH in Minoqua,WI. The liquid lime was a complete joke and now hitting the plots with about 3700 lbs lime need to bring it up from the low 5's.

i should do a soil test just to see what ours is at. I’m guessing it’s ok as stuff seems to be growing fine.

Good eye. Bought a 5 lb. bag from deer creek seed as an experiment. Have never planted them before. We’ll see how long the deer let them be. Along with the peas.

I always remember them looking like a spade emblem. Can’t mistake ‘em. I spread a 50 lb bag on my half acre plot.

They’re mixed in with all kinds of stuff.

The deer are already on the brassicas with BFO’s and clover. I’m guessing they’re eating the BFO’s. They appeared to be a big hit last year.

The really green part is where I attempted a late food plot last year. With little to no rain and limited sun it failed. Rain has not been an issue this year. It’s slower going in the newly killed grass area on the side but stuff is popping up there now. In a month I’m hoping it’s all filled in. New blind just about ready. Going to paint the windows dark and then I think I’m done. This is a hidden valley below the shed with a little ridge on each side. Easy spot to take a doe if we want or get lucky on a nice one. Had some daylight pics of decent bucks last year.

Planted oats, winter peas, radish, and medium red tonight. Deer didn’t seem to mind. Check out the time on each pic. Haha

Everything looks top notch! Your strips look incredible.

I’m still spreading lime! Sounds like the liquid lime was ineffective due to all the rain in Northern WI.

We’ve had a bunch of rain here too. Probably too much for the brassicas I planted where I tilled. They didn’t come up real great but it’s still early. I should have plenty of food. I’ve got another plot I haven’t checked in awhile that was plated 3 weeks ago. Probably 1.5 acres in total this year.
