We have a blank slate here, please post suggestions for the new forum. What sub-forums do y'all want, color scheme, etc etc?

I would like to see something on how to plan, construct and raise shooting huts / blinds and maybe storage sheds and living quarters for deer camp.

Never mind...I see it just got added! :D

i think maybe an area that has info on government programs like CRP, how to enroll, cost share, maintaining, how to bill them for planting and maintenance, etc.

How about setting us up for Tap-A-Talk?

Also a spot to show what State or location we want to put so folks know what part of the country we are doing our habitat work...

Would love to see separate discussions about habitat design and maintenance in the mountains versus habitat in the flatlands

Disclaimer... I escaped from QDMA and was very comfortable with the layout of their site, but I'm barely computer literate and I'm already confused by the different layouts of this site and Habitat Talk.
Frankly, negotiating thru this site is confusing compared to that "other" forum. Example...why can I only see 21 members listed when I click on "members"?

It can definitely take some getting used to new layouts and forums.

My one BIG suggestion is for folks to liberally use the 'New Posts" link in the menu bar up top. In my other forums it's the link that most people use to quickly check in.

Will there be an ability to quote? I don't see that choice on each post.
And, this has been an issue for me on the QDMA site...LOCATION should be required. I'm not talking about an address, but at least a zone should be required within each description. It happens all the time on the other forum...someone from Texas asks a question (based on their location) and someone from Maine answers (based on their location).
I'd like to know where a post emanates from. It puts things into context.

If you hit "reply" to a post it will auto-quote it

Sorry, am I overlooking a herbicide area? Maybe a place to explain how to calibrate sprayers, herbicide use for food plots, native grasses and plants, trees and shrubs. A place to post up best prices in the market and splitting purchases with others.

No, we haven't set that up yet. Typically people post stuff like that in the "food plot" sections. However, it's easy to set up so we can create a sub forum like that very quickly.
