    Wow, and no thanks. How much an affect to you think these guys have on fawn mortality, if any?

    Minimal effect (most likely zero). One this size has an effect on me though! I’m going to get a depredation permit and remove it from the pond. Yikes.

    That’s a healthy looking gator! I’m always cautious fishing ponds in the low country, just never know when there might be a full size lizard around.

    Once a gator gets over about 6' they are absolutely worthless in my opinion. We have lots of them. They have eaten our dogs which puts them over the boundary. For whatever reason they don't last long around here after about 6'.
